5 Months 13 Days: Monday, Nov. 23, 2009

Day 167: Tomorrow is a big day for us. Emily will be having surgery to take the plate and screws out of her leg. Kaylie remorsefully moaned, "But, we never got to take Emily through an airport security check to see if her leg would set the alarm off!" I guess we'll never know, but it would have been a fun experiment! Emily is too nervous to even care. Her spirit of adventure evaporated at the word,"hospital." I know she would appreciate lots of prayers in her behalf. Her surgery should not take longer than an hour.
