Week 12, Day 2: Friday, Sept. 4, 2009

Day 86: Tonight was an exciting night for Travis, and it didn't include sprinklers! Jason, Travis' brother, loaded him up in his pick-up truck and took him for a short drive to a dove hunting spot. Travis watched from the truck, and he and Jason had lots of opportunity to talk as there were only of few birds that flew in--3 taken. Thanks Jason! It was good for Travis to see some birds, some shooting, and be with you.

Travis' neurosurgeon says no shooting yet, even the sound repercussions from gunshots are to be avoided. These limitations aren't so bad for Travis to follow right now because he isn't very strong. Hopefully, when he's ready to be shooting his head injury will be healed enough too.
